Sony Master Series TVs in OLED and LED get priced

Range up to 75-inches

During Summer, Sony took the wraps off of their Master Series TVs which included the OLED A9F series and the LED Z9F series. Part of the draw of these premium TVs is their ability to display Netflix 4K HDR and Dolby Vision content exactly as it was intended. From Sony:

This mode was specially developed to enjoy Netflix originals and reproduce the same picture quality on a TV as on a studio evaluation master. With Netflix Calibrated Mode, the creator’s vision and intent is faithfully preserved.

While previously unveiled, till now, we didn’t know what the cost of the two series would be which are already available for order in the US and launch this October in Europe. Pricing is as follows:

A9F OLED

• XBR-55A9F — $4,500 /£2,999
• XBR-65A9F — $5,500 /£3,999

Z9F LED

• XBR-65Z9F — $4,500 / £2,799
• XBR-75Z9F — $7,500 / £4,999

As an owner of the 75-inch X940E, the pricing on 75-inch Z9F isn’t bad at all, nor is the pricing absurd on the 65-inch Z9F, though pricing tends to dramatically increase when going from a 65-inch panel to 75-inches.

MASTER Series AF9 (55” and 65” models) 4K HDR OLED TV
