A first look

I can’t remember the last time Sony surprised anyone at a major show — from CES to IFA, and MWC — if there’s a new product in the pipeline, chances are it’s leaked a month prior to its unveiling. But at CES 2020, Sony did the unthinkable and surprised us all. With CEO Kenichiro Yoshida at center stage, the back wall opened and out of the pitch-black drove onto the stage the Vision-S, a prototype car based around mobility.

I’ll be writing a lot more about this concept car in the days to come with videos to go along with them, but I’ll leave you with two things. First, most of the takes on this car, from small to large publications, have been wrong. And second, here’s a first look at the car’s design.

Thanks for being an SRN reader. If you liked this post and want to help me cover Sony even more with reviews, videos, and podcasts, please clap (you can 👏 more than once!), share on your favorite social sites, and subscribe to the SRN newsletter.
